How many billionaires are there in the world?

According to Forbes magazine, there are 691 US Dollar billionaires in the world. You've got to be careful with this term for two reasons. Firstly, 1,000,000,000 Italian lira for example is only about $US100 million (!) and secondly, the English billion is one million million not the US one thousand million. I'm not one of either of those!

There are 42 billionaires in the world and out of that 27 are in USA.Please check up.
