It really depends on what you sell and how hard you work at it. I've had spells when I couldn't sell a single book in my inventory and other spells when they sold so fast I could barely keep up. If you sell books on ebay it is best to stick to rare books and collectibles. Mainstream books are too readily available to be worthwhile. There is a definate learning curve involved so if it doesn't take off immediately don't give up.

Probably not very much, books don't have a great resale value, unless they are rare and collectable, and in mint condition.
They also weigh very heavy, and postage can be prohibitive if someone wants to purchase a few.
