and by animal drugs i mean ones that are used for animal diseases and which will never be subsequently ised for humans

There are such medications as herbal remedies that help people in every day needs. Plants that also help against serious diseases, so why test methods on animals when mother nature has provided for us with plants, i.e. foods etc

If you mean drugs that will be used on people at a later time when they have been proven safe then my answer would be to test them on people. Although, and here is the kicker, a drug was resently tested on a group of people and several of them ended up in hospital and near death. I think one may have died. These were not criminals, they were just average people who had volunteered thinking it was safe.
So I ask you which is better, to test a new drug on animals as long as they are humanely treated or on people? It all comes down to which you value more I suppose.
Although I draw the line at pefumes, deoderants and makeup testing on animals.

Drugs for animals should be tested on animals, drugs for humans can be tested on humans or human samples such as tissue!

drugs should be tested on animals, if i remember right at least 1 of the peta crowd is on insulin which was animal tested but they don't stop taking it!

They're probably against modern day medicine and think we should all take herbal remedies and other such nonsense.
Or perhaps they would rather just have nothing and see people die slow painful deaths.
I think they're misguided and haven't thought their beliefs through properly to be honest.

I think the drugs should be tested on those criminals on death row...at least they could give something back to society.
