I think it is real but I don't think that it could be seen by naked eye.
Aura is an electromagnetic field that radiates from and surrounds living objects. It sounds logical for living objects to radiate and be surrounded by electromagnetic field, for me at least. There is no sciense that could contradict this, so it's possible. If planets have their own electromagnetic fields that could be seen as halos, why you think living objects cannot have such thing?
I heared that there are some cameras (using X-ray maybe) that could photograph an aura up to 24 hrs after the person has left a place, and that such instrument is already in use by some intellegence agencies.

An Aura can mean many things. But I think you mean a spiritual aura. Yes, some people are actually able to see an aura or electrical field surrounding other people. They say if the person is sick, the aura is dimmer.
