The holidays are over and there are quite a few kids on my street today playing with remote controlled cars with their parents. This happened a lot before the holidays as well. They seem to send their kids to school when they feel like it.

Not all schools start and finish their holidays at the same time. Could be that.

Different schools start at different dates not all schools are the same. Likewise how do you know some of those children dont have homeschooling or do virtual learning on the computer from home?
If they are enrolled in a school and arent attending regualry then the school will file charges. They tend to stay up to date on that kinda stuff now days. You have certian amount of days of school your kids can miss that are unexcused days, you also have a limited amount of days you can get excused from note by parents, then its required it must be a doctors excuse. Other wise the school takes note and reportes it and its delt with.

Are they back yet? Some schools don't start until tomorrow or even Wednesday.

You can report them but do you want the hassle?

Schools also report unauthorised absence.

If you know who the families are, I think one should tell someone about it. I know it seems like being a tale-teller but at least it gives the proper authorities - possibly Social Services, I'm not sure - notice that they should investigate the situation. I'm sure that they will keep your identity confidential.

Even after holidays families sometimes need to regroup . It is a parent who truly loves their child who wants to keep them home .
My children excel at school , but if i don't want them to go they don't . Who gave our children to the crown ? Not I !
She who concerns herself with another persons children , truly needs to be watched
