I have recently come into possession of quite a substantial amount of money and I wanted to share some with my friends and relatives. I am not sure who among them I should give some to. I thought of putting them into some sort of a test to find out who my friends are and who really care for me.

Something like this - I would pretend that I would borrow some money from them or maybe ask a favor, then I'll find out from their reaction how to next proceed.

So is this bad or good and why?

Talk with your financial advisor first!!! There is a way to invest your money, with others to benifit from it, without having to deal with all of that.

The worst thing that can happen if you did hand out the money, is the fact that someone could blow it all on a set of rims or something. But if you invest it, the money could grow (Even while your asleep), and with your friends and family involved, they can see their portion growing at the same time.

If you do split it out, keep track of it and try to mark it down as a donation of some sort, that way you'll be able to write it off come tax season.

See your financial advisor and MAKE SURE THAT THEY GIVE YOU AN UNBIASED OPINION. Dont let them sell you anything. Just see what will be your best options for your benifit if you decide to hand this money out to others.

By the way.....u got $5 dollars I can borrow until the 19th. LOL!!!! Gudluk!!!!

It's bad. If you are going to be deceitful to test someone else's integrity, you are being hypocritical. You want to "have your cake and eat it too". If someone puts you to a test, and because you might be having a bad day, or as it often happens, they really go at you hard, going too far in trying your friendship, and you snap at them in a way you would never have normally, it's not fair that it was just a test. If a real situation had gone down, who knows how it would have went.

For instance, my sister tried to pick an arguement to make me leave the house because they wanted to set up a surprise birthday party, but the way she did it, I ended up really getting mad at her and cursing her out in front of others. She brought up old sibling rivalry history stuff that I felt was uncalled for. The thing is, I almost didn't come back that night ( she was visiting from out of town). I was going to wait until the next day after she had to catch a flight. Later she thinks I should be all smiles when I find out, in fact, she thinks I should be embarrassed, as though I overreacted. I felt my reactions were justified based on what she instigated, and I was still mad at her for choosing to dig at me the way she did, for such a silly goal of making me go out the house for a few hours. It almost ruined the whole party.

No, I do it all the time.

But don't forget to spend money on people who have helped you in the past, spend a little on them too. Trust me it's a good idea.

I really think that testing people is a low act, and usually backfires when they find out. Better off to use your judgement.

sounds like a good idea but once they pass the test and u give them money, they might be a lil mad cuz u are questioning their friendship.

sincerely, i would test my friends cause humans as far as we can remember are a creature that's quite difficult to be trusted as history has proven to us, where they'll use any means possible to manipulate you to achieve their agenda, but it doesn't mean all humans are distrustful. as i've come with a principle of life which all my friends and people who around me know as i say "convince me".
its not a bad action to know who may be of your most trusted allies but a risk thought of not knowing your worst enemies.

Why do you need to give your friends money? Are you doing it for their approval?? Send them all to Las Vegas and you won't have to worry about testing anyone.

it would be fatal, you will end up losing ur real friends and keeping posers in the process, i think it would be best to just offer a bit and see who comes back for more, and who appreciates it,
