'You can't have your cake and eat it too'
- means you can't use something up and still have it to enjoy.

But the trouble with that proverb is that it is possible to have your cake and then eat it !

That's an easy one, a searchable one. It means those that want to be able to always have it good and never be the "other guy" that is left out because of people like them. People that want to buy low and sell high in the stock market.

For instance, people who do not want to work for a living, but want to have money to spend, or folks that want to be able to cut in and change lanes on the road but hate to be the one that gets cut off. You want to pay low prices at Walmart and get your lawn cut for cheap, but cry over the illegal immigrants getting work. Men that want to see strippers and buy porn, but doesnt want their daughters choosing that line of work.

I got a million of them.

kind of like "why buy the cow when u r getting the milk for free". to have one's cake & eat it too means to want more than one can handle or deserve or to try to have 2 incompatible things
