Celebrities wear shed loads of it. Regular girls are compared to the likes of such slap wearing celebs- making the comparison is usually what makes some women go out and get what the mags say celebs use- by the end of it all- they've accumulated a suitcase full of the stuff that they have no idea what to do with and end up using it all at once. Not talking from experience! Personally i wouldn't recommend that women wear any make up that makes them look completely different after the curtains are lifted if you know what i mean- imagine the shock you'd be giving to the man next to you in the morning- that is deceptive!

What make up is supposed to do is exaggerate what you have already not paint on an imperfect canvass.

I work in a factory with a 48 year old woman who wears loads of slap. I think she wears false eyelashes, too. She applies her eyeliner on so thick and completely around her eye that a raccoon hunter might mistake her for a 'coon. I really don't know why she does this other than to get the attention of men at work. I mean, when one works in a factory it is better to look casual. If one does wear make-up, less is more. Oh, she also wears lots of perfume, camel-toe jeans, dress shoes, and her hair is always teased and hanging down. Now this factory can get very humid. so many women either have short hair or they pull their hair backin a ponytail. But not Twisted Sister. She continues to look like a 42nd Street hooker.

I am required to wear makeup to work. If I show up to work not wearing makeup I can get into trouble. I am a hairstylist so it is important for me to look my best. I also know how much is enough and make sure to not look like I am a drag queen or in general a ****. Makeup can be used to bring out natural beauty in people when used in moderation. I have uneven skin so that is another reason why I wear makeup.

Because they have no confidence in themselves, or their looks. Putting on the 'slap' is like putting on a mask that they can hide behind and, in doing so, become a different person.

Cos they ugly! No not really.

As a teenager I wore loads of make-up and it was more a confidence thing. I felt prettier. Now I sometimes wear more when I have spots but I am happier with myslef now than I was as a teen.

i really dont know. some girls put on WAY too much. It just looks gross to have an orange face and sparkly bright pink eyelids with really long thick eyelashes, and they think they look good in it. Every morning I put on a little foundation, a little blush, and some eyeliner above my eyes, and that's enough for me. Barely noticeable, and in my opinion it looks a lot better.

I dont think its becuase they are slappers, i think its more about themselves....they are hiding away from the world, they dont want people to see the real person so all that makeup is sort of like a protection.

to make them feel good about themselves, hide their insecurities under make-up. I wear make-up not to hide my insecurities just to cover up my red patches on my cheeks. Less is more!!!
