we want to have a spermgram. how many days must we not have sex until we collect the speciment?

Different places have different guidelines, but usually between 3 and 10 days (not more than 10 days).

We had one of these prior to IVF a few years ago. We were told 2 or 3 days 'abstinence' was sufficient. There is no solid evidence that the quality of sperm is affected to any great extent by regular ejaculation, but I guess they like to play it safe and give you the best chance of an accurate result as possible.

It will not take more than one day for the spermgram.

whats this "WE" business? YOU can just do as you like, loads of sex, just make sure you dont involve him!
