Find something else that will give you as big a buzz as buying shoes does.
But I know what you mean. There is something about sweeping into a shoe shop, trying on loads of pairs and then actually buying some. The shop assistants (not Dolcis) are always so friendly and helpful. It makes you feel rich and pampered!
You can get that feeling in other ways though. Its all about feeling valued. Join a club or society, or find some voluntary work where what you did will be appreciated by others. That's a great buzz and - it doesn't cost any money!

when you buy new shoes, always give them to someone who needs. But it is good for your health that having more than one shoe. I think three is enough.

To stop buying items that you think you shouldn't- ask these four questions.
1. Do I really need it?
If the answer is no, then stop and leave the shop. If yes, move to question two
2. Can I afford it?
If the answer is no, then stop and leave the shop. If yes, move to question three
3. Can I get it cheaper anywhere else?
If no.... buy it
If yes....leave the shop

If your like me you cant stop. I guess the only answer would be if they stopped selling shoes, but thats not goin to happen, so carry on and enjoy, i do.
