What is the measurement board on the wall when you get your mug shot taken called.
Looks like, Measurement board is the best answer.

IT is probably called just that . Or some sort of measuring yard stick. It is there to measure a person's height. I do hope you haven"t had first hand knowledge{ I mean I hope you didn't have to get a mug shot taken}. I've only seen them on tv but I do know its for height measurements.

It measures height and shows it on the photo. You don't need to be suspected of doing something criminal. They used this in Hong Kong when you went for your ID Card - when HK was still British.

it's a heigth chart to show people how tall you are. i have heard it called a "yardstick", a "ruler" and a "tape measure". i guess it depends on where you have your mugshot taken and what they call it there.
