Steve Bloomer of Derby scored 19 goals in his first 10 games for the England national side in the 1890's and 1900's. He still holds the record as the only player to have twice scored 4 goals for the national side, and he was the first to score two hat-tricks.

Although matches were traditionally higher scoring and favoured forwards a century ago, this still compares favourably to Crouch, who has scored his goals against very low ranked teams such as Jamaica, Trinidad (achieved by a foul), and Andorra.

I don't think anyone has as good a record for England. However probably the best scoring ratio of any player would be Brian Clough, 251 goals in 274 games. Who knows what he might have done for England had he been selected more(only 2 caps)

When Peter Crouch pulled the dreadlocks of Brent Sancho of Trinidad and Tobago to score a goal in a match going nowhere, thousands of England fans had to turn 180 degrees to celebrate this act of cheating.
Before that they were more interested in hurling vile racist abuse at the T&T fans, most of it about being black, regardless of there being white people supporting the side.
All of a sudden they were 'the best fans in the world'.
Rubbish.
England fans are mostly vile scum from the lower social orders.
Whole countries celebrated them going out the World Cup.
Have a nice day Nigel.

Aww come on - against Greece and I forget the last country, you know the one I mean - the one with national population of 103?? You can't compare those stats to the likes of England heroes Shearer and Lineker, that's just an insult.

When was the last time an English player played against Trinidad and Tobago and Andorra in the space of 2 months? My grandma could have scored against them.
