don't know what "gripe water" is but I can tell you what helped my colicky baby. Started using DR. BROWN bottles. they have an insert that releases air back into the bottle as the baby drinks so they get less bubbles. The DR. BROWN bottles are kinda expensive so I'd buy just 1 and try it out before investing in a whole bunch. Good Luke and hope it gets better.

It was a miracle for my two, but each child is different. I also understand that it has different formulations in various countries. I don't know where your from, but in the US it contains no alcohol (which makes babies drowsy) but in Canada it does. This could be a misunderstanding, but I'd check the label. If nothing else, consult with a naturopathic physician. Mine gave me some great holistic ideas that coupled with the Gripe Water were a lifesaver!!!

yes and no. my second daughter Emma May was a colicky baby and yes for the first month the gripe water worked but then i had to change her catnip&fennel liquid drops and i put 3-4 drops in each bottle i fed her and that worked alot better. My Pharmacist was the one who reccomended the catnip&fennel liquid drops so before using anything just check it out with your local Pharmacy or call your doctor's office to get their opinion on it
Good Luck

Yes - made my son do really big burps - but I only ever used it after feeding when he really had a problem. Infacol is good because it's preventative - you give it before every feed to prevent the problem. It's also cumulative so the more you use it the better things get

It works for us, but be sure to get one that is alcohol-free.

If you bottle feed, you can boil 1 tsp of crushed dill seed in a quart of water and use that water to prepare the bottles.

I think there is a problem with the milk. But my little cousin used it and he seemed to get better. But when He was older (2-3yrs) he just used to complain of gas, and then gulp half of the bottle and then say the next minute that he is better. lolz. the classic placebo effect.
