i cut hair on the side as a hustle and don't own a barber'ss license?
can i be granted a license from time spent cutting hair... about eight years..i'd like to make a career of it

Every career needs a license but a barber needs only a business permit to operate a shop for tax purposes.

Apparently, every state has different criteria on what you have to do in order to get a license but it seems that you need to go to school to become licensed. In Arkansas, they require 600 hours of class time.

Depends on your state. Some require it and some don't.
Just like babysitting. Some states require a certification/permit and some don't.
I would at least be honest and put the money earned down on income taxes as "other income" otherwise you could really be in trouble if someone ever turned you in.

not true...to cut hair professionaly you will need to get licensed in it or open a shop and hire someone who is.
