Probably true because a lot of people go into a marriage think it will really solve all of their problems or at least cure their loneliness.
But the reality is when they get married after the lovey dovey, glamour & glitz has run out & things get ugly, they want to bail out. It's not that easy. Getting married to someone means before they even get together; each person should really ask themselves if they can take care of another person besides themselves.
Are they financially stable, emotionally ready?
Do they have tools to cope with problems when they come up?
Both people really have to want it to work out.
When they reach a point where they both have to make a decision, or leave each other more people will probably choose to leave thinking they can start over fresh & new without the other person.
But the reality is; that person still has the same problems, but they've just taken it to a different person. They still haven't dealt with their issues before moving on.
Well that's what I think of people who just keep moving from relationship to relationship.
They probably don't even want to commit.
Don't even get me started on people who are married & are looking outside of their marriage to fix things behind each other's backs.

It depends on the person. Marriage is work and some people don't work hard enough. If you truly are in love why would you let that feeling of being in love die. If you rush into marriage it might not have been true love in the first place so of course that so called love probably will fade. Marriage is a divine institution. Before taking that step there should be a climate of love. Where each party can say I can see being as one with this person for the rest of my life.

No it is not.... Love doesn't fade away,at all.Instead,it gets deeper, just like wine, the older it gets, the more you enjoy it. However,it depends on what kind of level both couples were operating on before marriage. If they were really in love, their love would stand a test of time, but if not, well you know the rest of the story(like bubble gum, once it's lost it's sweetness, you throw it away).

I say it depends on individuals. Mostly, love becomes greater love cause it is not only love but more than love. It comes with caring, sharing, supporting, encouraging when anyone feeling down and worrying in his or her problems. Definitely the feeling of love is different in term of feelings towards each other before marrying.

No, lust dissipates, some of the passion can leave....but what is considered love at first is not.....the love remains, and it does feel different, when you first marry...love is the Passion, when you get older, and the marriage is more stable, love is the comfort of being together.....the rest has got to be worked on....the passion, the continuing lust....that is why they say...marriage is work.....Love is never easy....and should not be taken as such

No, because your character takes a lifetime to build and your wedding day should be the day that you loved you husband/wife the least.

If you're equating sex with love then yes, it fades away. But true love increases.
