I find it so hard to do the things that I now I should be doing, yet always kid myself in thinking I will do them tomorrow? Whats the best way to make you do things when you think of them?

Try giving yourself a reward for jobs done. Small jobs, small rewards, big jobs, big rewards.

Wash the dishes and tidy kitchen - Had a nice cup of coffee and a cream cake.

Decorated and refurnished daughters bedroom - bought myself a bass guitar and amp.

Works well for me.

There's a saying that if you want a job done, give it to a busy person to do! In my experience this is just soooo true. When I worked, I crammed loads of things into my day and always got everything done, because I knew that if I didn't, I'd be in trouble the next day. Now I don't work, have all the time in the world and my second name should be 'Procrastination'! So, perhaps you're like me - plenty of time to get things done, so 'there's always tomorrow'. For me, it's the lack of a disciplined routine that's made me like it. What about taking-on new projects in order to tighten your time schedule? There are certain chores that I've set myself a routine to do, and I do stick by that routine with blinkered eyes, otherwise they'd never get done. When I do get down to writing that letter, cleaning out 'that cupboard', etc., the feeling of accomplishment is great and I can 'tick it off' in my brain. I think lack of motivation is a kind or depression - maybe there's not enough in your life to make it 'buzz'? Wake-up tomorrow, and say, 'This is the day I'm going to ...........'! Good luck.

You have to recognise that the subconscious mind is a lazy mind by nature. You feel better when you do the things you need to be doing and you need to make sure you do your "chores" first but save your pleasures for later. This way you get a "reward" and a feel good feeling because you did what you need to do and you still have fun to look forward to. If you open all your presents on Xmas eve....Xmas day is flat! So in motivating yourself you use the "knowledge" that you'll feel better when you get going to deal with the "feeling" that you can't be bothered. In other words you just remind yourself you gotta get on with it. If there is depression present this is even more true. doing nothing will simply deepen depression so the answer is to get yourself moving even if you don't feel like it. Over a period of time your "movement" will become the new norm and your mind will stop making it difficult fr you to motivate! Good luck. Now get started!

Try to get into the habit of asking yourself is there really a good reason to put this off. It might help to try to pretend that everything needs finished by the end of the day because tomorrow will be very busy or the opportunity might have disappeared.

Once you get busy and motivated it's easy to stay that way. Try to get the momentum up by filling a day with useful activity.

Im the same, When I do things I do them well but I can never be bothered to actually do them is the problem.
Best way is write a list of things you have to do and what you must do to complete these tasks.
Then put the list somewhere that you look every day . Eg a mirror, bedside or ceiling.
That way they will stare you in the face every day and you should discipline yourself to not take the list down till the tasks or done ....
it works for me...

This is because you feel like you are eternal. Someone
alive must warn you that you are not everlasting. Your time here on the Earth is limited. So only you can do is to recognise the truth and start to follow your the most hidden inclinations, developing personal independence and freedom. Collect yourself and jump into the Life by doing your best in anything you do. Do not exaggerate and do not repeat mistakes. Luck is for disciplined and persistent.Good luck !

because everything is put on a plate for people today, no one wants to work for a living or run to catch a bus, ride a cycle... we jump in our cars and off we go without a care in the world...things are just too readily available.....think positive thoughts and give yourself a kick up the jacksy, i went through the same thing a few years ago and told myself over and over that no one else is going to do these things for me so i got motivated by telling my self again and again to go get it.... whatever it was....now i'm a qualified person with a good job and i don't look back..... good luck and get going before you miss some opportunity......

Do it now. Make a list of jobs to be done and get on with them. Cross them off the list when done and you will feel a sense of achievement.

when i have the same problem i physically move myself wheather fidgeting or hand gestures to link my mental and physical actions,
it doesnt have to be wierd all you need to do is physically say what you are going to do or write it down.setting down activity like this makes your mind realize that this is more than an idea and a plan.
