I am very very thin and still wants to lose more weight..is that normal?
My parents tell me to gain weight also my doctor but I don't want to gain weight. I weight 110 lb and height is 6 ft'1. I think that I want to lose 20 pounds which makes me 90 lb but is that bad for my health or will I run out of energy.

Please...I need someone to help me. Thank you.

Hello!! :o) It is always very important to consider the possibility that we might be wrong whenever people who care about us [like our parents and a doctor] are telling us to do something that we don't want to do. Ask yourself, "WHY are my parents AND my doctor telling me that I should gain some weight?! Is it because they're mean and awful? Is it because they're trying to make a fool out of ME?! Do they have a history of giving horrible advice?" [and so on] IF the answer to the above questions is 'NO' - then you might want to ask yourself, "Why do I want to go AGAINST the advice of those who care about me?!" And that's what I'm asking you. I think it's VERY likely that if you DID get your weight down to 90 lbs - you would THEN convince yourself that 'happiness' is only 10 MORE lbs 'away'. It's a dangerous 'game' to play. Don't always believe what you FEEL. Feelings lie to us all the time. And don't always believe what you SEE - either. I've been a heavy guy almost all of my life. When I did lose a lot of weight [many years ago] I STILL 'saw' the heavy guy whenever I looked at myself in a mirror. Take the advice of your parents AND your doctor. NOT for THEIR sake - but for you OWN. Craig!! :o)

My father is a doctor so please, take my advice! that is VERY bad for you...for your height, you should actually be around 140 you do NOT need to lose any weight! you will just make youself unhealthy. You really should gain a few pounds but if you are against that, at least stay at 110 DO NOT lose more! you could end up VERY sick..

i'm 5"1 and 90 pounds and my doctor has advised me to gain more weight. you are a whole foot taller than me and want to weigh the same?!! this is NOT good....

not only will your energy level be depleted but you face serious health risks. if you're body is not getting enough fuel from the food you eat-it will start to "feed" off of itself, breaking down muscles needed for everyday living. it will also put a strain on your vital organs-your heart will have to pump faster to regulate circulation and keep your body warm. you will also be more at risk for getting sick b/c your immune system will be weak.

most people who are grossly underweight can die from heart failure or other organs shutting down b/c there just isn't enough energy being produced by the body to keep them going...

please seek help if you really feel that you need to lose more weight. i enjoy food and eat all the time-my problem is due more to genetics than me not wanting to gain weight. staying within your normal healthy weight range is extremely important to keep your body running like it should...

If you go down to 90Ib you will look like you were living in a NAZI concentration camp during WWII. Now is that ugly or what? You think this will attract the girls? I don't think so girls love mscles and a built body. Start a weight gaining program and start lifting weights

You need to adjust your target. You should aim to gain 20 lbs rather than to lose 20.

Best to listen to you doctor and parents, they clearly know whats best for you. 90 lb is way below the weight for someone who is 6ft1. it is not recommended as it is unhealthy and in extreme cases can lead to death. Do you want to end up like certain celebs like the skeletal Nicole Richie?
