Join the club. Part-time employees actually save companies the cost of benefits. Yet no one wants to hire a veteran with 26 years of experience. Also a Bachelor degree in Business Admin. Maybe it is just my area, but I have been looking since January 2006.

It's been really difficult recently because all the summer jobs et taken up early. I went to 19 places over the summer and didn't get a job. apply now when the summer jobs are gone and before all the university students apply and you've got a better chance - it's worked with me, i start next week! :)

Have you tried signing up with any temp agencies? They have openings all the time and some jobs are temp to hire. You basically make your own hours and pick the jobs you want to do, but the pay is less then you would normally make, since they get paid for finding you the work.

It depends what you are prepared to do. Most part time work is done by women and most part time work is low paid.

Just keep checking your local paper. Or write on spec. to local employers telling them what you can do and when. They might bear you in mind next time they have a rush on, or to cover holidays or maternity leave. But I guess you are looking for regular work with part time hours. Pubs? Bingo halls? That sort of thing might work.

because it is hard to find work all together and because part time work doesn't need experience so those who are out off work but have experience have taken most of the jobs

i get what u mean, you can't easily find part time work to suit your desired working times right?

i have that problem too, but keep trying everyday, one day what ur looking for will spring up, but if you'll get it or not is down to how well you do at d interview.

good luck though.

You could create awareness about alternative health care, working part-time / full-time from home. No scam or investment. I have succeeded in it. It involves team work and you could join, if you like.
