Remember peoples names, and address the 'bigger' personalities directly and act interested, to stand out of the crowd, you dont need to be louder or more funny, just be confiedent! i know it works when its coming from both ways for me!

It's impossible to gain the respect of everyone, because most people have different qualities that they respect and admire in others.
Your best bet is to just be yourself. If you're naturally you and have confidence in who you are, that will definitely show through. Plus, then whoever respects and admires you will be genuinely admiring YOU, not a falsehood.

talk with one person and bring a "topic" up and then bring other people to join and that would make you the attention and respect of bringing a "topic"......Don't just try to win them all over...
