In this country (Australia) everybody eats at home. unless of course it's payday or mum doesnt want to cook. Where the heck do you live and where the heck do you get the money to eat in restaurants all the time??? Take away food is only a sometime treat here because it is exensive
I can cook a roast dinner with dessert and a cheap bottle of wine for what it costs 4 people to eat at McDonalds and KFC is even more expensive

Restaurants and fast foods would die out, but it's not going to happen because we don't have always time to cook, and there are to many lazy people out there

Easy answer...the market would react, and members of this market would either fail, or develop new products and services to prevail.

Ex: McDonalds releases products in grocery stores; frozen Happy Meals, build-your-own Big Macs, etc.

While email was increasing in popularity, many suggested that the U.S. Postal service would cease to exist, though they survived by varying the services that they offer, and improving the services that they originally had.

that would be something. a whole lot of companies would go outta buisness. but on the other hand americans would probably lose a about 2454235 pounds each. on the OTHER hand, americans are so stubborn they wouldnt last a day without eating out.

You got your wish...this last quarter sales in family restaurants were way down.

Presumed reason was the increase in gas prices and worry of an economic downturn.

People would save money, but not time. Which is why fast foods, and dinning out will always be around.

They would be healthier, loose all that damn FAT that seems to be obvious in America, they would actually talk to one another (family time), they might actually learn something about each other, the kids might actually learn something useful from their parents, need I go on?
