Children age group between 10 to 15 should be allowed to play with computers as they learn quickly. However parents should see that they should not get addicted to it.After age of 15 you need not watch them except put a lock on porno web site till they reach 20 and thereafter no restriction on them.In my opinion children below 10 should not be allowed to touch the computers.

ther are some positives as well as negatives
Positives

* Video game playing introduces children to computer technology.
* Some games provide practice in problem solving and logic.
* Games can provide practice in use of fine motor and spatial skills.
* Games can provide occasions for adult and child to play together.
* Players are introduced to information technology.
* Some games have therapeutic applications with patients.
* Games are entertaining.

Negatives

* Over-dependence on video games could foster social isolation, as they are often played alone.
* Practicing violent acts may contribute more to aggressive behavior than passive television watching. Studies do find a relationship between violent television watching and behavior.
* Women are often portrayed as weaker characters that are helpless or sexually provocative.
* Game environments are often based on plots of violence, aggression and gender bias.
* Many games only offer an arena of weapons, killings, kicking, stabbing and shooting.
* Playing violent video games may be related to aggressive behavior (Anderson & Dill, 2000; Gentile, Lynch & Walsh, 2004).
* More often games do not offer action that requires independent thought or creativity.
* Games can confuse reality and fantasy.
* In many violent games, players must become more violent to win.
* Academic achievement may be negatively related to over-all time spent playing video games.

Finally what I can say is when you use it for limited time for entertainment it is very good but when it exceeds the limit It can become addiction.

depends on how their parents educated them. since we (me, my brother and my sister) were young, we were being used to decide which come first by our parent. they don't tell us to do homeworks etc, they just told us that getting good grade is for our own good. in result, we always know that chores, homeworks have to come first then the rest of our spare times are up to us to use. we grow up with atari, nintendo, sega, playstation and playstation2 also PC games, but we never forget school. we could play anytime we want, for as long as we like. my sister got her Ph.D at buffallo university, my brother is taking his Ph.D at Kinibalu Univerisiti Malaysia, i'm taking my Master at Institut Teknologi Bandung Indonesia. and in our spare times, we like to play games a lot...hehehe. so, now that you know a family like mine, with games since we were kid till now, do you still think that games has bad influenced?
