Everything is always twisted.

Like the phrase cut and run. That is just crazy. I don't know of any democrats who think that but that is all you hear from the liars.

This is the exact reason I am so freaking glad I left the republican party and went to the party of honesty, the democrats.

Geez you hit the nail on the head!

Everytime they open their mouths lately, all I hear is spin and twisting of the truth. And when you bring this up, they can't even defend any of their statements because they know it is true. Just look at the first answerer of this question... he turned it back on democrats about the honesty statement because he knows you are telling the truth about his party.

I agree with you btw also on the party of honesty. I don't hear democrats spinning and making up twisted soundbites. It makes me sick when I see a republican politician on tv... they are evil liars.

LOL....Forgiven beat me to it. I was gonna say that Cheney sure was pretty accurate when he got that guy right in the head, although it appears as if he did have a pretty clear shot, that field they were in being so flat, and the guy being right in front of him......

But, aside from the literal interpretation, they are about as corrupt as they come, and the Democrats are equally corrupt, if not more.

At least the GOP comes right out acting like the self-rightous, pompous..................etc...., while the Democrats are really quite similar ij their political stances, except that they try to pretend that they are so different by accentuating small issues that are really nothing in the whole scheme of things.

Do you really think that Democrats are honest? Any polititian is honest? I thought it was a requirement to be dishonest in politics.

I read not so long ago (a joke obviously, but all the same) that the word politics is derived from the word, "poly" - meaning "many". And the word, "ticks", meaning "blood sucking parasites"

Souinds about right...............

Oh, and if anyone saw "Meet the Press" yesterday morning, that Pennsylvania -R incumbant had a new strategy of eluding the questions that I've never quite seen before. He got so busy pointing his finger every which way, his thumb, making all kinds of distracting hand motions, that it was difficult to concentrate on what he was trying to say. I guess that was his way - just make sure to distract everyone with something so stupid that when he blubbers about nothing, no one notices.....

Same here. I like the Republican stance on most issues but the current Administration and the people in office have gone divergent from the party and make being a Republican odious.

I love that you phrased it that way, because that is the ultimate irony for a party who thinks the only way to win anything is by brute force. And the only cutting and running I've seen is from the Bush Administration who when realized they were being outsmarted (not a hard thing to do!) by bin Laden, gave up and then called him nothing to even worry about. (Bush: I don't think about bin Laden, I don't, I know I have to be fighting in Iraq! The Axis of Evil, the War on Terror, the WMD's)

lol yeah right. Listen to your leaders John Kerry, Nancy Palosi. They have said again and again we have already lost the war in Iraq and Afghanistan. You see they don't care about the war on terror, to them it doesn't even really exist. their only concern is winning back their power in Washington. They have put all their eggs in one basket, ie, what ever Bush does is wrong what ever he says is stupid and so on. They want him to fail and if it causes more lives lost in the war on terror so be it the ends justify their means. If they are so against the war on terror in Iraq as they say they are every night on cable tv then why do they keep voting to fund it? They are trying to play both sides, I used to be a Democrat and now I am ashamed of them. I wouldn't trust them to guard me against an angry old lady much less a bunch of Islamic fascists. You do what you need to do but you need to listen to what the leaders of your party say in public. What does your party stand for? All I know is they can't stand Bush. All this crap about it's for the oil makes me wonder if I could sell you swamp land in Nevada. I mean your leaders say it's all about big oil where is the oil??? I want some!!! I'm tired of payin 3 bucks a gallon. If your party is so much for the poor then why did Kerry say one of the first things he'd do as president would be to add a 50 cent a gallon increase on taxes. I just don't get it I don't like the republicans much better then the Dems but they are way the better of the two evils. The whole think is silly we have crated a monster it's called big government. Now we are going to pay for our apathy as a country. Have a nice day.

I agree with the questioner. Its always some idiot phrase with no substance.
Southern sheep buy it. Always defies me as to why.

There are dozens of examples, not enough time or space to re-hash.

I am an independant, and certainly have my share of anit-Democrat views as well, but seeing my fellow americans in a simple-minded daze bellowing about like sheep really make me ashamed for them, almost sad for them.
