I got a lot of really lovely replies to my questions/comments about the death of Steve Irwin. It seems that only a few people were so insensitive as to engage in controversy while his family are still grieving. It's just always bothered me though how the media picks up on a negative and drives it to the extreme so many times, as I suspect they will do in this case. I offer my condolences as well to the family of Steve Irwin, a wonderful teacher for all of us interested in conservation and wildlife.

You're kidding about the media. They'll be all over him like a rash! They know which side their bread is buttered.
And don't be so darned pious - "his family are still grieving", so much so that they're reading this yahoo site?? l think not.

It's interesting to note God is not mentioned when someone as good as Steve passes.
What must we learn from his demise?
I'm sorry to see him go so young!
