Question for Tap dancers. What is the effect with your knee joint or other joint?

it doesn't start to do wear to the joints for many years, chances are she'll be fine unless she already has problems with her joints, tap dancing is really fun, if she wants to join let her!

I don't think it should be a problem if tap dancing is done right. Clicking sounds that you hear are not produced by a lot of hammering on the floor, but rather by lightly tapping the floor with the heels. Any dancing can be bad for joints if done without warm up and/or without moderation.

It would take years of professional dancing to cause damage to knees, feet, or hips. Dancing for fun is good for her. It's great exercise.

tap dancing ok,but threw time the ankles bone starts getting hair line cracks. so it,s good but in moderation,

you should send her to jazz classes insead, they're a lot funner and its a great work out.
