Definitely v can't ignite it since ignition by means of fire needs oxygen. But it can b ignited electrically if the cracker contains oxidant. Since a cracker is as like a solid propellant used in rockets with oxidants which burn even in vacuum. so a flash could b seen and no sound could b hear-ed.
so finally my answer is cracker in vacuum can b ignited by electrical resistance heating or by increasing internal pressure.

Yes. Because the powder contains a chemical that provides the oxygen. You could ignit it using an electrical spark

No ma....no chance in vaccum

can u light a match stick in vaccum?? no because in vaccum no Oxygen will be there!!
It supports combustion ofcourse
In this regard we can say that we people are like "fire" since we too cant live without Oxygen like fire does!!!

Also sound doesnt travel in vaccum.....its a tail piece....well u cant hear any explosion if a vaccum crosses it..

My yahoo id is : timepass454

If u wish we could be friends!!

Yes. The explosive in it contains an oxidising agent. You could ignite it witha piece of resistance wire connected to a battery.

A cracker can explode in vacuum, but it will have to be detonated electrically. It cannot be lit by a fire, since fire will not exist in vacuum.

When it explodes ,it will possibly amke the usual sound and light, but you will see nothing, since light and sound dont travel in vacuum.

It would burst if it denonates (how to ignite is a engineering exercise),however,U won't hear the sound & the shards
would shatter like in Star Wars movies !

a cracker can explode in vacum, not by ignition... it can be exploded by increasing the internal pressuru(inside the cracker) n done...but it wont get ignited... :)

CRAZY NA??? but wat v want is 2 explode the cracker...dats all!!!
