I have these softwares ready for installation. Which one performs better? Other recomendations are welcome.

If you found the old Microsoft Antispy program it is worthless. It is no longer supported and hasn't been for several months. Red Devil is an idiot. The Windows Defender Beta 2 is one of the best Antispy programs available.
If you watch the online class videos and learn how to use it properly it will protect your computer very well. If you don't, then use the old worthless program, cause that is about the same protection.
Better yet, go here and learn something. This will give you a basic education in all forms of Malware and how to protect your computer.

They're both not bad... But Windows Defender has an anti-virus unlike AntiSpyware which only has protection against spyware...
Get Ad-Aware! It's much better AND free, but the free version does not include active protection... Just scanning

"Windows Defender" is the current name of the product that used to be named "Microsoft AntiSpyware". In other words, it's a later version of the same product and is, presumably, the better one of the two.
As far as spyware protection goes, it's acceptably good. There are better ones, though - like Spybot Search & Destroy and AdAware.
