Disposable patriotism is pretty worthless, in my humble opinion. While it was nice to see the country rally together after 9/11, it was also kind of sad to see all the people who previously didn't give two sh*ts about being patriotic go out and buy cheap flags and "God Bless the USA" bumper stickers.

As for me, I've had an American flag hanging proudly in my living room for years, and it didn't take a national crisis to get it there.

thanks. that is a good attempt. I fly the flag from my the front porch *on a daily basis* *on a daily basis* I reveal it 24/7. in accordance with public regulation, i exploit an all climate flag, and shine a mild on it, making use of a dusk sensor that guarantees that the flag will be lit. that is that significant, and significant. ADDITION: For joshcrime, that is so a lot more effective than a form, and that i'm saddened that you do not realize this. On a battlefield, the flag is the rallying element, it marks somewhat of floor that should be defended. we are loose because human beings shelter that flag.

Not unless I grow a flag between now and then.
I personally think its time to move on, if we flew the flag every day there was a horrible tragedy we'd be knee-deep in the things. 9-11 was a horrible thing but it does not need to be rehashed every year from now until the end of time.
