I am in San Diego and I have been to Vegas and to San Franciso. My friends and I want to go for about 3-4 days any suggestions.

I would get on HWY 101 and head north. Whenever you have the option of taking PCH (the older section of HWY that hugs the coastline), take it instead. Its a gorgeous drive with lots of beautiful scenery, history, and hiking. There are plenty of places to stay ranging from pricey beach rentals to campgrounds. With 3-4 days to use, you should be able to get to Oregon and back.
