I have met in person a lot of people I originally met online.
Many are close friends, even years later.
One is my husband ... we've been married 2+ years, met in person 4 years ago after 6 months of email, IM and phone.
We are blissfully happy ... and we have had to buck a lot of obstacles to be together, as we were from different countries.

Like much of life, both. I have met a few people in life from the internet, one I hated almost every moment we were together and one that I married. We have been married for 3 years and have a baby. Meeting on line is like everything else, be prepared for the worst, just in case, but sometimes if you let it something wonderful can happen.

Yes I did! I live in Europe and dated a man from Texas through the web for 6 months, than he flew over and we met in person. A few weeks ago I went to see him in the USA, now I've quit my job and am going over there for real! I AM SO IN LOVE AND SO IS HE!

i have had 4 cousins who met their husbands on the internet, 2 are happily married for a year now, one was married for a week and than divorced, mother in law was a ***** not the person, and the 4th is getting married in December

i met my ex from the net which kinda put me off as she turned out to be a psycho
but then i met my current girlfriend from the net to and she is just perfect :)
so i guess its just like meeting people anywhere else really, some are good some not just be carefull

Yeah! We met on the net and are happily marrie dfor last 4 years. Its adventurous as well as romantic though I would not suggest anyone to venture thus, one needs his/her luck too.
