He was always a big proponent of wild and endangered animals. His awareness-raising jolly good antics will be horribly missed!!
Ouch!

some of us are going out to hunt wild endangered animals and have a brink of extinction barbeque ,the rest of you will tear at our eyes rip out our hair and uncontrollably wail before throwing yourselves off the edge of the grand canyon as a public protest and rally cry for someone to socially replace him as an activist
you wanna golden eagle leg or will the buzzards be eating your remains off the floor of the grand canyon?

Live life knowing it can happen to any one of us at any time- faithful or not! He did what he believed was right, got dragged into the limelight so we could all see how anybody could get caught up in it all, and was taken so we could humble in the knowledge that nothing is totally right and totally wrong but all a shade of grey.
RIP Steve- and Thank You for the show!

My heart really goes out to his wife and his little girl. You had to be a fan. He had what we all in life are looking for, happiness.
You could tell that it was a joy for him to go to work and be with those animals and educate people about them. He was doing what he loved, and living in that what he did with all his heart. I am sad about that. really sad.
I watched that show more that I watch anything on TV except maybe foot ball. I thought, look at this crazy man with these animals. But it takes all kinds to make the world go around and he made my day when I watched him.

I dunno, but I guess we must learn to move on, as well as to learn of his methods. He really was a great leader in the causes of animal conservation, and a true ambassador to his native Australia. Not many people can symbolize a nation so effectively.

We will console ourselves with the knowledge that he died doing what he loved, and that he must have had incredible, adrenaline- charged sex with Terri after catching crocs.
