50's At the Hop by Danny and the Juniors. It is a driving gotta get up and dance kind of song. We used to open our 50's tribute show with that song.

Hmm... *thinks for awhile*
50's Rock Around the Clock Bill Hailey and the Comets (was the one that started it all, pretty much)
60's Ain't Too Proud To Beg The Temptations (Just Love it)
70's Jet Airliner Steve Miller Band (Like the uncut version)
80's Walk the Dinosaur Was Not Was (Great song to work to, lotsa energy)

50s - I Only Have Eyes For You by The Flamingos
60s - You Keep Me Hanging On by The Supremes
70s - You Are Everything by The Stylistics
80s - Saving All My Love For You by Whitney Houston

These are some of my favorite because I love R&B love songs. To me, they're all emotional and heartfelt and those type of songs touch me the most.

Too many from each decade, but I'll do 1 for each:

50s: "Keep a' Knockin'"- Little Richard

60s: "I'd Really Like To Know You"- Spanky & Our Gang

70s: "Listen to the Music"- Doobie Bros.

80s: "In a Big Country"- Big Country

Why? Each I think represents the "sound" of each respective decade well.

Carry On Wayward Son, by Kansas
Fight The Good Fight, by Triumph

Can't really say why I like them , I guess I like the music and the songs remind me of the show Supernatural. And they are just awesome songs.

Bob Seger's " Old time rock and roll". It has been my favorite song for a long time. I guess it is just because of the way it makes me feel when I hear it. Also Eric Clapton's " I've got a rock n roll heart" Check them out if you get a chance.
