the beatles were a great band, but they are most certainly overrated. they made some classics, some great songs, several good songs and a lot of crap, as well, to be sure. i submit that, without the great sir george martin, feeding their egos and their curiousity, as well as introducing them to instrumentation, classical music, etc., they never would've been as great as they were....here's to sir george, the truly "gifted one" in the group!
