im a 17 year old female. My mother said when i was young i used to have very extremely white skin. But then i got to much sun exposure and my skin permanetly turned light medium tan. I would love to know how to get my natural skin color back like the one i was born with. I also have kidney disease which could effect the skin color and make it darker..... so how would i possibly get that really really white skin back?!

Please do not listen to the crazy person recommending hydroquinone. Google "hydroquinone danger" to learn about how even a one time exposure to a 2% HQ product can initiate rebound hyperpigmentation -- or worse! Friends don't let friends use HQ!

Okay, find the lightest patch of skin on your body. It might be a part of you that is always under clothing, like your bum. It should be relatively easy (it may take a while but it is possible) to use safe, natural fade techniques to get most if not all of your skin to the color of the lightest skin on your body.

It is possible to go shades lighter than that, but to do that you may have to resort to chemical lighteners that have the potential to cause a lot of permanent harm to you if used improperly. And then there are some things you just don't want to do to yourself, even if it is possible. (Look at Michael Jackson, FGS.)

You also need to be aware that even chemical lighteners used topically are processed in your system, there may be some things you shouldn't use because you have kidney disease. Don't worry, there are a lot of safe products easily available.

If you are still determined to lighten your skin, I very much recommend the Skin Lightening Report, an e-book that gives a complete run down on common ingredients used in lightening creams, and gives tips on what products work, how to use them, and how to make your own products from things you can get at the grocery store. Simple. Pure HQ-free. You can find this at http://ladyh68.clarion8.hop.clickbank.net

Remember: it will be relatively easy to get to the lightest tone on your body, more difficult to get lighter than that. It may take some time, you shed a layer of skin every 28 days or so, takes 7 years to completely recycle all your skin cells. Most people begin seeing results from a fade regimen within a month of starting it, but you need to keep it up, and you must use sunscreen and protect yourself from UV exposure by wearing covering clothing and using shade. One afternoon of carelessness with the sun can undo weeks of fade work.

Good luck!

When your skin gets a tan, your skin cells are being burnt and you get an increased injection of melanin, the chemical that gives your skin a nice, darker glow.

There is no way to reverse the effects of the melanin.

You can however, lighten your skin through the use of Hydroquinone. Hydroquinone is a cream that will, in theory, use enzymes to break down melanin.

Consult your doctor about Hydroquinone and see if it's right for you. Be aware of any health risks that are associated with it, and be aware that there is no medical VERIFIED way to make your skin lighter. So ultimately, be careful!

Be sure to wear sunblock when you can to reduce any further tanning.
