Hello, My best friend from 12 years recently introduced me to her brother. Her brother and I have been dating for about 2 weeks and every thing has been going very well. My friend's brother is a total gentlemen and treats me very good, he's a very good guy with a very bright future in front of him, recently purchased his own house and has his own business. This weekend he invited his sister (which is my best friend) and he invited me to his house for the weekend. Well, his sister had an unfortunate accident where she accidentally over fludded the toilet (plumming problems). Her brother got so upset with her and I felt really bad. He made it seem like she had done it on purpose and totally held a grudge against her, which I thought was unfair. She apologized to him, she cleaned up the mess, and offered to pay for any damages but he refused to understand that it was an accident. I felt really bad for her and I was left in the middle of the situation. Who's side should I be on?

I’m surprised you feel it is necessary to ask this question…
What if it had have been you who accidentally flooded the toilet?
Do you think his response would have been different?

Perhaps it is a warning to you of what you might be getting yourself into.

Who’s side should you be on?
If you accept that accidents happen, and that your friend did not intentionally do it…
Stick with the friend, but maybe dump the boyfriend!!!

It seems if he gets that upset over an overrun toilet, you need to rethink your relationship with him before it gets too serious.

My saying is, boyfriends come and go, but true friends stay forever.

Who do you think you need to side with? You see how wrong he was and how right she is.
You need to tell him good bye and don't date a friends brother again. TABOO on a friendship. Can cause massive problems in the future.

you shouldn't be on either side coz it's not your fault.. i know you're dealing with your bestfriend and her brother and you're caught up on the middle but you better know when or when not to kick into a situation.. it's between them, there's a line there and all you have to do is listen and try to be supportive to both of them without tryin to be on one side.. let them solve their own issues they are both grown ups and for sure that grudges wont last a lifetime.. dont worry you're still a great friend for both of them!!=)

choose the path which you know is the right one to follow even if it might ruin your relationship between your boyfriend, and if he is a true gentlemen as you say he is, he'll realise of his mistake and a give of a formal apology are to be make by him to the one he offended even if so she is his sister.

Do your best to stay out of it. If either of them starts to try to drag you in, just say you don't wanna be stuck in the middle of it.

Don't pick a side. The one you don't choose will resent you.

Be on your best friend's side because your boyfriend overreacted.

TELL HIM ABOUT IT!
