I'm seting up a web site where I will also sell tickets ( booking on-line) for our classical music concerts. People would be able to chose concerts date, number of tickets and then book and receive immediately a ticket to print-out.
My question is, is there a way to make sure people have paid before the system issues the ticket? Where will I be able to check payments? Maybe I'm confused... ;-(

As for I know you can set up a page a secure page that would be coded to enter the special code manually by the buyer.
The process is simple if you can understand. There are two methods.
1. Paypal generates a confirmation code for the buyer.
2. Buyer gets the code after paying it.
3. buyer will enter the paypal code into the ticket page.
4. buyer gets the ticket after entering valid paypal code.
5. the special ticket page generates the ticket
6. for the valid code only.
7. after the successfull process, the page expires itself.

Paypal also redirects the payer to the page where the ticket generates.
Once the ticket is downloaded, the page expires.
Use SSL to protect.
You can also sell tickets on ebay. This is 100% safe and you will not lose your money spent over.
There is a service called 2checkout.com
Tips: Use php programming and use mysql database
---- the page must be generated with encryption technique.
do not upload your ticket directly to your website folders.

yes. paypal makes it so you cant process a payment until they give their verified checking account or credit card information.

they are really thorough and their arbritration system for fraud claims is solid. read up on it on their website. this service is highly reccomended.

in the system you will be able to track whether the payment has been made, and everything. they transaction wont go through unless paypal has recieved the funds. its a matter of setting up your eccomerce site to correspond correctly with a valid transaction. hope this helps.

If you are using paypal, you should let paypal email them the ticket because they will only do that when money is paid. If you need further help, am an e-commerce specialist, contact me at www.hostkenya.net

When you set up Pay Pal there will be a web site/homepage that you can view to see if payments have been made.
