Just type a search for website templates and you can use them for creating a basic webpage. From scratch, use notepad and save it as a html. Look on the internet for HTML commands. You need to keep all your graphics and pictures in a folder with your HTML file or the graphics will not show. To see an example of how a website should be written out go to any webpage and on the top of your screen where your menu is (File, View, Favorites, etc.) and go to "View," then select source. That will show you the commands that make the webpage you are viewing look as it does. I was clueless when I had to make one for school so I'm sure you can do it that way. IT is also a good idea to go to the library and check out a book on HTML made easy. It really does make it easy.

the basic software for web design is frontpage, dreamweaver and pagemill. Its a hustle doing your own site as a first site if you do not intend to further that, so I advice you to visit www.hostkenya.net and you will get a professional website for an extremely low cost. Also most of that money will go to charity.

spend a couple of days studying html coding, I used a website development tool and had nothing but trouble, then used html in notepad to write my own and it worked much better, I have the freedom to add whatever I want wherever, no restricitons.
