It's one of our project in data comm. but it's just theoritical.
The network was suppose to be wireless then could it be possible that the network will subscribe to two internet connections and a device will just channel connections so that there wouldn't be much traffic when the users go online

If you are not hosting an online storage or FTP or Web Services, then you could go for a faster downstream and slower upstream.

You could use ofcourse ADSL, and depending on your ISP.. the maximum capacity will be 9MB (downstream) and up to 640Kbps (upstream).

If you need more that that, you can apply for a VDSL. This will give you maximum 52 / 2.3 Mbps (up/down) depending on yourISP if provided ofcourse.

Those are all last mile solutions.

For 2000 users on the Internet, you might also want to consider having a backup line. I would suggest ISDN that is brought up on demand as the initial conection goes down. You can also set up a firewall (ofcourse) that will allow specific users (management etc) to have internet while the main connection is being repaired.

Another option all together would be to use a cable broadband connection. This could provide you with a 40Mbps downstream and 12 Mbps upstream (better for uploads).

G'luk.

the recommended connection is a T3 fiber for security and bandwidth considerations. Wi-Fi is also good as long as you have access points set up to handle limts in the 240 users per node (subnet) but is subject to interference from other radio sources.

it is impossible to apply a internet site to regulate internet get entry to. they're using the administration interface on your router. It has a password on it and the only thank you to income get entry to with out the password is to production facility reset the router (push the reset button on the router with a pin and carry it). you could then log in to the interface via going to this is IP handle (your default gateway, locate via beginning cmd and typing ipconfig) and logging in with the default username and password. I often would not help somebody with this, yet what they're doing is incorrect! they're eliminating your freedom and enslaving you. you're able to desire to combat this injustice!
