In terms of search engine, Google is definitely much more superior because of its ease of use, accurate results and fast speed.
But if we compare other services then Yahoo! catches up, the no. of services provided by yahoo are far greater than google.
If we compare YahooMail! with Gmail, i would say Yahoo is better but Gmail is fast catching up both in terms of no. of users and functionalities.
Google's bid to put all the computing on the internet, might in the end put yahoo on the losing end, but for now Yahoo is a worthy opponent for google one which cannot be under-estimated.
Lastly, it is upto the end-user, what he finds more superior, staunch Yahooligans will always vouch for yahoo (like me!), but the Gooogleplex also keeps growing and growing.

Yahoo is better overall because of all the different sites they have to offer, but Google has the best search engine.

Depends on what you are looking for. I have Yahoo as my service provider and their depth of content is excptional, but for a pure search engine that gets you what your looking for without trying to sell you 50 things b4 it get you there, there is no equal to Google.
