I just got my eyebrow pierced, and when its ready, I'd like to change it, but I have no idea where to start on buying a new one. Sometimes I cant tell the difference between the jewelry for bellybuttons or eyebrows, and I don't know if the barbell has to be curved or what. The lady also said she pierced it at 3/8 of an inch. I'm not quite sure what that means either, I know it has something to do with it being deeper or something...help! What do I buy, and where can I find it?

Don't freak out everything will be okay!!!

When buying jewelry go an actual jewelry shop where they sell that type of jewelry. A lot of head-shops will specialize in belly button, eyebrow, tongue, etc. I recommend actually going back to where you got your eyebrow pierced.

When you go there ask a person who works there specifically where the eyebrow jewelry is. That way they will take you right to it so you won't be confused about what is what. Also they will be right there to help if you have any questions. Don't worry these people deal with this all the time!

Also 3/8 of inch is the gage of stud you got. That means when you buy a new piece of jewelry it needs to also be that size.

Hope this helps, and I'm sure it looks great!!!

3/8" is the length of the jewelry not the gauge which should be a 14-some will pierce eyebrows at 16 though. Look for jewelry in this length (should say on packaging). it really is easier to go back to where it was pierced and have them show you some quality (hopefully) jewelry. stick with curved barbells, with small balls. Rings put a good deal of pressure on the piercing which can lead to rejection and more knocking it around which can causing tearing and even infection from the tears.

I agree, 12 is to youthful for an eyebrow and bellybutton piercing. for my area those are the minimum a while for each hardship-loose piercing. Any style of lip piercing:15 nostril:13 Tongue:15 or sixteen Bellybutton:14 Eyebrow:15 Ear lobes: 6 months Cartilage: 12

the original piercing should have been done with a 14gage so 14 gage ring or captive beed ring is best I suggest stainless it is the cleanest and the ring will allow you to turn it to clean it .After three months you can change the jewlry I suggest Dermagrapics.com or put piercing jewlery into any search engine and get a million shops.. hugs Daisy
