Dear, this is something that happened a year ago. It was a natural disaster and these things happen. What exactly is your point? Share what? Hurricanes and other disasters happen, people die in them and suffer from them, and the world keeps revolving. This is something the media likes to revisit when there is no other news of major importance.

Ray Nagen only gave the order to evacuate when it was too late for the city to do anything for the poorest of the poor. Many unclaimed and unidentified bodies still sit in a warehouse because Nagen nixed a plan to bury them outside of N.O. Knowing full well that there would be no cost to the city. Instead, he wants the bankrupt city to foot the bill through public donations. The thing that I find most disturbing is the fact that he was re-elected to office despite his obvious lack of ability which was made all to apparent in this disaster.

The fact that the federal government showed their true colors and the rest of the world was there to see it. That was embarrassing. They have almost unlimited resources and they chose to use them to shoot public photo-ops. None of them would lift a finger unless a camera or reporter were there. Most of the American people already knew this, but we could at least appear competent to the rest of the world.
Also, I remember seeing people that had given up hope and quit. They quit on their children and themselves. They instead expected everybody else to drop everything and run to them. I still hear them complaining about how hard it is to start over. It is hard, but this country was not founded because other people gave us the tools and money to get it going. My parents had to start over when their children were babies. They looked for jobs not sympathy.

No purely grew to become into it not the fault of Bush however the hot Orleans issues weren't led to via Katrina immediately, Katrina grew to become into not a head on hit for NO. What led to the misery grew to become right into a call made to construct the levee greater low-value, and not as sturdy as mandatory using fact it wasn't 'interior of your funds'. Its humorous that once you hint it back it does come right down to judgements made, and not the components. The Governor of Louisiana did not do a sturdy interest, yet he specific had no help in any respect from DC.

no but ray "chocolate city" nagin could have used the hundreds of school buses and other city vehicles that were left to be flooded to get them out.the most disturbing thing is that the city and state government did nothing then blamed the George bush for the hurricane and even now they are slowing the efforts to clean up and rebuild and of course are blaming it on bush.

When i first came back into the city, everything was dead. The grass was brown and crunchy. You could see the waterlines on the bushes. There weren't any birds. It smelled awful and there were flies everywhere.

Nothing was disgusting. I laughed my butt off at Katrina. Life is too short to take everything so seriously.
