CNN, yahoo, etc, etc, do not mention anything about the Basketball US team receiving the bronze medal. The team did not even have the courtesy to show at the ceremony to pick up their medal. Are they ashamed not to be even the 2nd best team in the world?

The news is everywhere about spain winning the gold. Im from spain and I think the USA covered the final pretty well at least on the Internet.

Anyway, That is great that Spain won the final and it will go down in history...But, I think that the USA is still the best team in basketball and it is still the team to beat for the next championships, I think the problem is the USA did not have a good coach and they did not take the best players to Japan.

I hope Spain keeps it up but the USA is still the team to beat. Give some credit to Greece as well which played an awsome game against the USA.

What are you talking about? Go to Yahoo NBA and you'll see a big picture of Pau Gasol, and the feature story is entitled "Kings of Spain set new gold standard." Also, if you click the PHOTOS link, you'll see a nice photo of Team USA accepting their bronze medals. Go to CNN SI.com NBA and you'll see another big picture of Pau Gasol holding his MVP trophy next to an article entitled "Spanish Gold."

If you're going to try to bash the USA, at least use facts. Don't just make stuff up.

Yes, US news does mention it. Apparently, you just didn't look for it. I found all kinds of links to stories on Yahoo, CNN/SI, NBA.com, etc., in about 30 seconds:

CNN/SI: http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2006/basketball/more/09/03/bc.bko.worlds.spain.greece.ap/index.html
http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2006/basketball/more/09/02/bc.bko.worlds.us.argentina.ap/index.html

Yahoo: http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news;_ylt=Atk.8.oYN06JbKvh0bJLmeG8vLYF?slug=ap-worlds-spain-greece&prov=ap&type=lgns
http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news;_ylt=AufbZu9PeQaismv5RIMqlf.8vLYF?slug=ap-worlds-us-argentina&prov=ap&type=lgns

NBA.com: http://www.nba.com/usabasketball/spainwinsgold_060903.html
http://www.nba.com/usabasketball/index.html

And the USA did show up at the ceremony to get their medals. Their medals were given to them Saturday night after the game against Argentina, they're showing video of that ceremony on NBATV right now. If you had really looked for stories about it, you would have found that out. So, are you just trying to start some mess where none exist, or is doing a Google search something you never learned how to do?

You must like getting caught lying, because you're pretty lousy at it.
