I would like to fly to Papeete from Japan. I surf some data in the internet and found out that a roundrip from Tokyo to Papeete (in net fare) cost Yen 500000!!!!!!!! Really really pricy!! What if purchasing in local agency in Japan? Would it be cheaper??? How can i get someone to help me buy such a ticket???

Depends on when you leave, but Yahoo Japan shows that you can get Air Tahiti Nui tickets (Nov. departure) for as little as 106,000 yen round trip through local agents. If you know Japanese (or know someone who does) check this out:

I usually book my personal flights through Across Travel.

You can call them up and book a ticket. My wife usually just goes to the Shibuya office and gets tix for us.
