because your thinking the obvious answer is going to have something to do with numbers since that is the most prominant part of the riddle.

its tricking you by making you concentrate on the how many ppl on the bus. Most ppl will forget the words "You are driving a bus", because their mind processes it as unnessecary info so it is never passed on into your long term memory. Some ppl may actually have no memory of you actually saying those words.
in response to 2cute4u this is actually a very popular brain teaser. Also remember that the only way this riddle works is if it is said out loud, so ppl can't read the riddle again.

It is a matter of tricking the brain...
Here are some others for you.
Get someone to spell, and say silk 10 times each. Then ask them what cows drink...More likely then not they will say milk, but a cow is full grown, thus drinks water.
Same thing can be done with roast, and ask them what you put in a toaster.
P.S. It works better if the thing is not in a manner you can go back and reread, (your quiz that is).

thats not true. I got it before I read on. I just started to read the first line and I was like Oh! Duh. Im the bus driver so Its my name!
I did get it.I think you're just saying that no one gets it because you did not get it at first. Well not everyone is as gullible as you.
