Generally, it's used for programming (like C, C++, Java, HTML, etc.).

Since your'e seing it in the "roleplay/neopets" boards, though, I'm assuming it's a little duck face or something... kind of like =) is a happy face sideways.

// is the single line comment in c and c ++ and java, anything written after // is considered as a comment and is neglected by the compilers. of the program.

ok and it is also typed after http: on internet address bar, to locate a particular IP and Port number that is the site name (may be.....lol)

Hi,

"//" is typically used for some sort of comment. Something that is instructions for humans, but should be left out by a computer or machine reading it.

Hope this helps,

Leo

Those are used to put a comment in PHP code.

// echo "hello"';

it wont display "hello" on a web page as it has been commented with "//"
