Right here in Santa Clarita Valley.

For the past 15 years rated at least the 4th safest city in the USA. Twenty minutes from the Getty Museum, 40 minutes from the beach, 30 minutes from shopping in Pasadena, Beverly Hills or Melrose Ave.

It's a planned community so it has progressed carefully over 25 years to grow with good shopping, libraries, schools and the like. Most of the police live right here.

It has three colleges -- an art college (founded by walt Disney), the master's college (a christian college) and a huge community college with several locations to support the community.

There is work to be found in the city or a short commute to Los Angeles where there is a lot of work.

Magic Mountain, the theme park, is ... here!

Two WalMarts contrast with the Cowboy Poetry Festival in the burg of Saugus which dates back to the 1800's. They even have a Cowboy Walk of Fame (like the stars on Hollywood Blvd) with saddles instead of stars for cowboy heroes.

And a park called William S. Hart park, a movie star from waaaay back that includes a museum.

AND ... The Oak of the Golden Dream -- the very first gold discovered in California.

Best of all, I am here ... so I make this city shine!

Wherever you're happy. Let's face it, you can throw all the criteria you want at that question, but it's NOT going to be the "best place" if you're miserable there for some reason. Moreover, if you DECIDE you're going to be happy in a given location- and you ARE, then the best place to live is wherever you choose. So, it's a question of how you look at it.
