A darker surface feels hotter than a lighter surface because the darker surface absorbs more color from the light than a lighter surface. Example: black absorbs all the colors so it absorbs a lot of heat while white reflects all colors so it doesn't absorb that much heat.

darker surfaces absorb light (heat) and lighter surfaces reflect it. So, when you feel a black leather car seat and it's really hot to the touch it's because it is holding in the heat. If it were white leather it would still be hot, but much of the heat will be reflecting off the surface of the leather into the surrounding air.

The darker surface absorbes more light energy the the lighter coloured surface which makes it hotter.
(although if both are keep in the dark, they will feel the same, unless some other energy is involved.)

Darker surfaces reflect less light than lighter surfaces do; this extra absorption of light is converted to heat, and so darker surfaces feel hotter.

Due to the fact that darkier material tends to hold heat better then lighter material and that has been viewed as everyday occurances to as in skiers wearing dark materials so that they absorb heat and dont blend in the environment. Also most middle-eastern men's sheiks where white because it is usually lighter and reflects light as oppose to black which absorbs light.

Because White surfaces reflect all right rays, while black absorbs all. so because it absorbs all that light which is heat too, it gets warm.
