She's not serious with this boy - but they're getting there. He's 20 years old, she is just 13...she lies and tells him she's 17. She's a pro at acting older. Also a pro at lying. I love her as a friend but I hate it when she does stuff like this.

The boy she's lying to is SO nice. Very kind, also very sensitive. When he finds out the truth, his heart will be broken big time. Also, if they end up having sex.. he could get in big trouble. I don't know him, have never spoken to him - but I can't help but feel some sympathy for the guy. I've been tempted to tell on her, to break them up now before they become too serious. But she's my friend and that would be somewhat of a betrayal... ahhh I don't know what to do.

Should I tell on her and risk our friendship? Or stay silent and watch while this innocent boy's heart gets broken? (And possibly ends up in jail!)

Tell him. This is a case where he could get into serious trouble. A 20 year old shouldn't be hanging around with a 13 year old!

What kind of friendship do you want to have? Will you be the driver for someone who robs a bank?! If you participate in a lie, you're the one lying. Is that the kind of friends you want to have?

If this guy really likes her, make sure you tell him your friend's age...then he can decide if he still wants to be around her.

He may not like her tho, after you tell him; not because she is 7 years younger then him, but because she lied to him in the first place.

He needs to know.

And BTW, if she is such a liar, why do you want her as a friend.?

I think that in time, she will find out that her lies don't work for her, and she will stop telling them.

She is only 13 and the world out there ia pretty scary place. Att 13, it is hard at times to know what to do. Lies sometime become part of you, so that you can fit in.

However,

Always be truthful; once you tell a lie, if you are caught, you may never be trusted again.

Good luck!

Two words: statutory rape. If you don't know what that is, then look it up and show the definition to your friend. Jail time.. Jail bait! That's what any girl under the age of 18 is..

If you think he'll be broken hearted.. or she will.. think of the heartbreak of becoming someone's girlfriend when he's doing time.

grow up.

Talk to your friend and let her know that she needs to tell him the truth. If she doesn't, then you will tell on her. She knows better than to lie about her age like that and her boyfriends shouldn't even be with a 17 year old to begin with. Let her know that if she doesn't tell him, she could get him into a lot of trouble because she's a minor. I hope my advice will help you and good luck.

Write an anonymous note to the poor guy before it is too late.
This stupid girl needs someone like you around to keep her out of trouble. Just don't get in trouble with her.

absolutely you "tell on her" that little girl could ruin that man's life.......when he finds out the truth he'll probably be mad as hell....but very grateful to you for warning him so he doesn't get into any trouble with "the law" if your friend gets mad at you stand your ground and tell her what she is doing is wrong.....if she can't get over it.....then she isn't worth having as a friend......hunny there is nothing worse then someone who lies......and you' would want to be careful that you don't get yourself into trouble from hanging around someone like your friend... seriously be the mature one in this situation and tell that guy what he's getting himself into if your friend has a problem tell her and her lies to go to hell
