I read it ..nahhh Angle tells Vince thank you. So I guess he was just tired and sick of wrestling and getting injured week in week out..

Hope he doesn't try to come back too quickly or just a match here and there, he was always a good wrestler, knew how to wrestle. Don't know if this planned by the WWE or not but if it was, it's a classic way to go.
