Hi i have been having blood in my urine for the past yr and also have a lot off urine infections.I saw my gp he found that i had a water infection and also blood in the urine,he sent the sample off the the lab where it was tested,he treated me for the urine infection and reffered me to the urology dept in my local hospital,i had a precedure done there where a small camera in a tube went through my uretha to check that my kidneys and the bladder was ok,it was.I still get infections and blood in my urine all the time i have now been referred bck to the urology dept to have another test done.Go see your gp he will test your water send it away and should refer you to the hospital,if not ask him.Make sure you drink plenty off water and cranberry juice .I was told that some people do have bllod in there urine and thy never know why,even when you have had all tests done .Good Luck

Just one thing.
Make sure that the person did not eat beetroot recently.
I ate a load of beetroot one night adn had a pee the next morning and it was deep red, I was very worried, but thats all it was.
Best thing to do is to get it checked out though

women's urine should not contain blood. There is a problem if blood is in your urine, bladder infection or worse. Unless you have your period which I think you'd know. So, please seek medical attention, it won't go away. Until then drink lots of water and cranberry juice.
