I would imagine she's taking it pretty hard. I feel bad for her and their kids.

On September 4, 2006 shortly after 11:00 AM local time, Irwin was killed in a marine accident while filming an underwater documentary in the Batt Reef off the Low Isles near Port Douglas, north of Cairns, Queensland, Australia. It is believed that a stingray barb penetrated his chest causing a fatal wound, though this has yet to be confirmed by Australian officials.[1]

I just found out. How sad! I feel terrible for his wife, Terry and his kids. I would assume she's devastated.

The story I read said she is off on a trek in Tazmania and has not been able to be reached to be told yet.

Shes probably very hurt and very lost with out her husband--she has two children to mourn for too.
She seemed to be with him alot on locatiion and that is being close everyday -Shes hurting.

It is sad, but he was living on borrowed time and if he was my husband I'd have killed him years ago. My daughter said, "now that kid doesn't have a dad", something she's dealing with now, though hers is alive, just might as well be dead.

I still can't believe it. I haven't heard it on the news for myself yet.
But if it IS true, I'm sure she would be devastated!

i agree with aussiechick...she's in shock. a stingray barb to the heart? who would've thought? i would've guessed that he'd be killed by a gator over a stingray...crikey, that's so sad...
